About Karen

Karen graduated from the University of Windsor in 2004. She graduated with an honours degree in Human Kinetics, with a major in movement science and a minor in psychology. After completing her degree, she went on to complete a 2200 hour diploma in Massage Therapy from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. Karen completed numerous hours of hands on training as well as a hospital rotation at Toronto Rehabilitation in acquired brain injury and stroke.

In June 2008, Karen opened her own business, Back to Balance Massage Therapy and Kinesiology in June 2008. She treats numerous cases, including athletic injuries, motor vehicle injuries, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (problems with the jaw), pregnancy and infant massage, stress relief, scarring, breast massage and whiplash associated disorders.

Karen has a broad knowledge base of many healing techniques and has attended numerous certificated workshops and courses. In a one-to-one session, let Karen use healing massage techniques to help you to transform into an improved, healthier life and aid you in your quest for improved physical and mental health. Karen will research and plan a successful treatment plan allowing you to move forward with a clearer healthier focus and renewed confidence.

Karen believes that massage therapy should be used as an adjunct to total health care. Also, she feels that clients should not only be pro-active in their own health care but take personal responsibility for their well being. Karen is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
